Zombies in America: A Christian Response

Zombie Culture is trending in America, how should Christians respond? An approach to Zombie Culture was addressed in Parts I and II of the Zombie series. How does the Christian Church approach real zombies in a humanitarian way? Should Christians be entertained by zombie culture? These questions were already addressed. The following is a Christian response to zombie culture.

The Reality of Zombies

In the United States, years 2012, 2013, and 2016 violent “zombie” attacks were made against people. In one Florida case, a college student murdered a couple and ate the man’s face. The use of drugs was involved in all of the cases. However, has entertainment encouraged this behavior? Perhaps Proverbs 23:7a (NKJV) holds the answer; “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

How can Christians become actively involved as intercessors against this real evil? How do Christians expose the lies behind zombie culture? In the United States, the Christian Church does so by fighting the war on drugs, boycotting zombie entertainment, and reaching the Vodoun lost through missions and outreach.

Can a zombie be saved? The Christian Church has an answer.

Can a Zombie Be Saved?

The answer is yes! While witch doctors believe they have control over zombies’ spirits, they can’t control the soul. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This means that a victim of zombie death is not separated from God.

Furthermore, the scripture states that no powers or principalities can separate them from the love of God. God foresaw zombies and Jesus died for them. Additionally, with humanitarian efforts, the Christian Church can help rehabilitate zombies. There is hope for the living dead. However, it is still up to the Christian Church to reach out to zombies.
