A biblical reflection about good vs evil
The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
When Samuel came to anoint one of Jesse’s children, many were surprised that God had chosen David. God choose David because He sees different than men see. God sees the inside. He sees the good or evil, not outward appearances.
Jesus came and said, He was the light of the world. That we should all strive to be lights, exposing the darkness. The darkness here is evil. God sees us for the light that we provide, which comes from the inside, not outward appearances.
We should strive to make our inside light brighter. Sharing our light, so that others can see. Shining our light on the darkness. Helping others to cultivate their own light. The more light we have in the world, the less darkness there will be.
I am the light of the world, says the Lord; whoever follows me will have the light of life.
